The Martin de Candre soap factory is one of the few in France to make its own old-fashioned saponification
Push open the door of this charming family-run boutique, which has been awarded the Val de Loire World Heritage label. It is one of the few soap factories to make its own old-fashioned saponification. In 2024, the soap factory celebrates its 50ᵉ anniversary, marking half a century of artisan know-how. For the occasion, two new shaving soap fragrances, "Absinthe" and "Magellan", have been created. Feel free to stroll through the museum and the boutique-exhibition.
