Atelier de Forge Robert et Robert is a must for lovers of fine metalwork in Orée-d'Anjou. Founded in 1967 by ironworker Jean Robert, the workshop was passed on to his sons David and Emmanuel in 2002. Since then, they have perpetuated the traditions and skills of blacksmithing, while adding a contemporary touch to their creations. The workshop specializes in the restoration and manufacture of pieces for historical monuments and private customers. They also work with upholsterers to re-edit 18th-century curtain rods. In addition to ironwork, the workshop creates steel staircases, railings, gates and joinery. With five qualified professionals, the workshop also trains apprentices. David and Emmanuel were even awarded the Métiers d'Art silver medal by the Académie d'Architecture in 2007.
