HEADGEAR MUSEUM
Museum presenting a superb collection of traditional headdresses and bonnets from Anjou, and from all over the world
Fabrics, laces and ribbons, here is what you will discover, through permanent collections or temporary exhibitions, in this museum which, since 1973, presents a superb collection of traditional headdresses and bonnets from Anjou and the whole world! Located in the dungeon of the castle of Les Ponts-de-Cé, one of the favorite residences of the good King René, and maintained by enthusiasts, we find about 400 headdresses, hats and festive costumes to understand how, in the nineteenth century, our ancestors adorned themselves with their finest attire.
