The visit of the Carré Cointreau ends at the bar with a tasting
Cointreau, the famous orange peel liqueur, was born in Angers! The Cointreau brothers founded their distillery in 1849, on the banks of the Maine River, and it was in 1885 that Édouard invented the liqueur that still makes the company world famous today. Bathed in the subtle scent of orange, the majestic copper stills room reveals all the stages of production before giving way to the museum. The visit ends at the bar with a tasting. You can also take advantage of the store, its bar items and its numerous delicacies.
