NOTRE-DAME-DES-ARDILLIERS ROYAL CHAPEL
Chapel declared Royal Chapel after the discovery of a stone pietà next to a spring reputed to heal.
The church was built in the 17th century and declared a "Chapelle Royale" following the discovery, in the 15th century, of a stone pietà near a spring reputed to heal. It was accompanied at the time by a theology school and was a major Marian pilgrimage site in France, which developed the rosary and medal industry in the town. Today, the church stands proudly on the banks of the Loire, one of the largest domes in France, alongside that of Les Invalides.

The ratings and reviews below reflect the subjective opinions of members and not the opinion of The Little Witty.
