The Clos des Cordeliers vineyard has been producing wines for four centuries, which shows how well known its soil is for its virtues. Between the tufa slope and the forest, the soils are relatively warm all year round and produce early grape varieties with fruity and floral notes. Some of these vines are more than 50 years old and are cultivated without chemical fertilizers, yeast or industrial enzymes. Saumur-champigny, saumur rosé and crémant-de-loire are produced and sold here. The domain also offers a rare Blanc de Noirs, almost impossible to find elsewhere in the region.
