MARTREIL CASTLE PARK
An English-style park, between woods and pond, a bouquet of exoticism and a great address for a stroll in Chemillé-en-Anjou.
Emmanuel Clemenceau de la Lande, grandfather of the current owners, undertook in the middle of the 19th century to build the castle as it is today. This 35-hectare English-style park, between woods and pond, is a bouquet of exoticism: dizzyingly high liquidambars, Virginia tulip trees, Oriental plane trees, Himalayan pines... The owners carefully maintain this heritage and plant new specimens for future generations to enjoy.
