Piment d'Espelette is grown in open fields to the rhythm of our region's bioclimate. Maison Bipertegia naturally takes care of its plants, from sowing to ripening. They are then hand-picked and rigorously sorted 1 by 1 at each stage, from harvesting to processing into powder and its derivatives in our own workshop. Our producer claims "a passion for good taste, because we are the 1st consumers and we are proud to offer what we like to eat". Quality, generosity and sound advice when you visit our store!

Opening time and information on BIPERTEGIA PIMENT
Store open 7 days a week in high season from 9.45 a.m. to 7 p.m., and in mid-season from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Off-season, visit Maison Bipertegia, 164 Torreseneko bidea (call ahead). Bienvenue à la Ferme network and Collège Culinaire de France. Orders and deliveries available on site and by telephone.

A history, a passion
Nestled in the hills and ridges of Espelette, BIPERTEGIA is a producer of PDO Espelette pepper which smells good the mountains and the land of the Basque Country. Heirs to a family farming tradition, Gilbert and Véronique DARTHAYETTE have maintained since 2010, the passion of the work of this land in the service of this exceptional spice, first and only spice labeled in France. A passion and a work which are also declined in pride, that to propose today artisanal and natural products, worked out starting from the traditional receipts or revisited of the Basque gastronomy.

Our peppers are then carefully selected and picked by hand. All our products are processed or cooked directly in our workshop in Espelette and are guaranteed without coloring agents, thickeners or preservatives."
