DOMAINES MICHEL BOUTIN, CLOS REGAIN
Captivated by the vineyards of Jurançon, Canadian entrepreneur Michel Boutin dreamed of breathing new life into a prestigious estate in the throes of transformation. The first Quebecer to settle in this region, Michel embarked on the adventure of revitalizing this terroir. Since his arrival, the vintages produced have revealed striking distinctions between the estate's different parcels. With oenologist Julien and agronomist Lionel, Michel made the bold choice to vinify each parcel separately. Today, Clos Regain reveals all its splendor. Among the different wines, the sweet Jurançon is made from 100% Petit Manseng, while the dry combines Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng. The fruité léger uses grapes from the Pyrenean Piedmont, and the red varies according to the inspiration of the moment. Clos Regain invites visitors to discover and taste its grape varieties through guided tours or the Oeno'Game, a puzzle game. In addition, open house events are held every second weekend in December to allow visitors to discover the estate. And for enthusiasts wishing to explore behind-the-scenes viticulture, Clos Regain offers the opportunity to take part in the grape harvest.
