Known and recognized throughout Béarn, the Pastis d'Amélie is now nationally renowned. To taste it is to love it! The secret of this family business: a recipe and know-how handed down from generation to generation. It took ten years to find the exact recipe for the ancestor. Sprinkled with huge pieces of crystallized sugar, the pastis béarnais, the real one, presents a dough of a perfect content, neither compact like the pie of the Pyrenees, nor brioche like the Landes version. In its heart small brown pieces melt giving it a unique taste: the delicately dispersed vanilla beans are one of the parameters of the secret! Successfully taken over by Peio Larquier, Marie-Amélie's great-grandson, trained in the same traditional values, the brand retains its particularities, qualities and flavours.
