DOMAINE DE MALARRODE
The Domaine de Malarrode is linked to the history of the Mansanné family. Passionate, it was in the 1980s that Gaston joined his father Jean in the farm, then at the end of his life. Together they managed to renovate it and give it a second youth. They restructured the 14-hectare vineyard, the wine storehouses, with fibreglass vats, replacing the old oak barrels and they abandoned fruit growing. Today, it's Frédéric's turn to take his place at his father's side. The site produces four types of jurançon: dry, small and large manseng, late harvest. In more than ten years, the Mansanné's in-depth work has been rewarded with numerous gold medals from various competitions, including the Concours Général Agricole at the Paris International Agricultural Show.
