DOMAINE MONT ORAAS
The Domaine was born from a ruin bought in 1971 by a local child, Thierry Frontère, who had just returned from Paris. It was in 2003, after having completely renovated the buildings, that he decided to create a vineyard. The first plantations (tannat, cabernet franc and cabernet-sauvignon) were planted in 2004 and the first harvest was carried out in 2006. An ultramodern cellar has been built, semi-buried. This is how the history of this Domain begins. Now extended to 5 hectares, his son Alexandre Frontère has taken over from his father. Nestled on the top of a hill in the small village of Oraàs, against the backdrop of the Pyrenees, Domaine Mont Oraàs offers an exceptional setting for the development of these exceptional wines. The wines of the estate are for some in AOC Béarn (Hountas) or for others in vins de France (Les Cluques and Villa Bys). A place to discover in Béarn!
