AMAP - ASSOCIATION POUR LE MAINTIEN D'UNE AGRICULTURE PAYSANNE
" Local eating "is the objective of this national association, which aims to highlight the producers in the region by calling full baskets once a week, containing fruit and vegetables, meat, eggs or bread. Depending on the location of collection, the content varies. In the Pyrenees-Atlantic region, and even in Pau alone, the points are multiple (four in the city itself). Practical and efficient, AMAP is aimed at young people who do not necessarily have time to go to markets or to people who want to eat well, local, without making life difficult. All products are good, not necessarily from organic farming because producers do not always have the means to enter the name but do the best. The result is a rich and complete basket that gives the opportunity to eat seasonal products and often foods to which you wouldn't have thought… A concept that has a real success and affects more and more people, inviting to become locavore.
