Maison Pascal Massonde was founded in 1938 in Souraïde, a small village in the heart of the Basque Country, three kilometers from Espelette. For 4 generations, the craftsmanship of the butcher and canner has been nurtured with the same focus on quality.

Our PDO Espelette chilli powder comes from our family production, as do our by-products, which we manufacture in our own workshop.

Pascal Massonde represents traditional Basque gastronomy by highlighting the work of local producers. For many years, we have been involved in the development of the Basque region's agricultural sectors. We are a founding member of the HERRIKO HARAGIA association, which promotes 100% Basque meat (animals born, raised and slaughtered in the Basque Country).

Our recipes come from the precious books of our grandmothers. These inspirations have enabled the company to win prizes in competitions such as the Salon Général de l'Agriculture in Paris and the Best Boudin in the Basque Country.
