ASSOCIATION L'OÎTRE PÉDAGOGIQUE

This association is ideal for all those who wish to benefit from information on an emblematic product of the department. In the Seudre basin in Charente-Maritime, it works to promote a better understanding and appreciation of the marsh, its nature, its life and its activities; a very special environment in the Charente region. Led by volunteers, the activities of the "Pedagogical Oyster" consist first of all of the old-fashioned construction and maintenance (using traditional tools) of oyster beds, the maturing basins of the oyster whose origin dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries, but also the construction of traditional saunier huts.
