ST. NICHOLAS OF MYRE CHURCH
The largest baroque building in the Durance region, a church dedicated to St. Nicholas, the third century bishop of the city of Myra.
Built around 1686 and listed as a Monument Historique in 1921, it is the largest Baroque building in the Durance region. The church is dedicated to Saint Nicholas, 3rd-century bishop of Myre (now in Turkey). While the exterior of the building is sober, don't miss the sumptuous interior: Italianate in inspiration, the décor is Baroque. Eight side chapels face each other, all decorated with altarpieces and works of art dating from the 17th and 18th centuries.
