It is the brand new restaurant of the charming hotel Villa la Tour, hence the eponymous name VLT. A large terrace that opens wide onto the pedestrian street in the summer and a cosy setting reinvented for the winter. Here's the set. On the culinary side, the chef offers a menu based on gastronomic classics made exclusively from fresh produce.
Entrecote buttered butler's steak with straw apples, toasts on a slice of farmhouse bread, roast chicken, Italian cheeses and large salads, lamb curry and white rice from Mauritius, cod brandade and cod back, "Albese" tagliatelle that the chef makes himself. The beef brochette and its ratatouille, the English plate, the homemade gnocchi, al arabiata or al pesto.
The wine list is well stocked with good bottles from various appellations: Pays D'Oc, Bordeaux, Côte de Provence, Australia, Chile and South Africa
The owners are originally from Mauritius and Chimène, the mistress of the place will make you taste her "arranged" rum: with spices, citrus fruits, honey from Mauritius..
