Authentic Chinese cuisine based on fresh produce in the heart of Aix city center
It is a young couple who hold the reins of Li Palace in the city centre of Aix, near the place des Preachers. Bo and Li come from China, offering us a map of typical culinary specialities from their country, authentic Chinese cuisine, one of the most famous in the world (after French cuisine) and probably the most variation. Nothing to do with Asian restaurants! On the map, ravioli is in good place, poached or fried, based on fish or meat; The dough is home, it's a delight! To flatter the palaces, here are some more or less spicy suggestions: Fried beef with mushrooms, crabe sauce, bar-cooked bar, andouillettes to sichuanaise, shrimp and pork bites, everything is prepared based on fresh products, spices and some vegetables are imported directly from China or cultivated by a vegetable tree in the vicinity of Vitrolles from seed from Xi'an (home town Bo). The frame is pretty, a collection of plates gives color on a wall; a large vaulted room can accommodate groups for more tranquillity. Li Palace also offers catering dishes to take to the office or home.

We came during lunch on a weekday.
We took the marmite de boeuf and the aubergine au pot. Both were tasty and cooked well. The flavours were not quite authentic but satisfied our craving.
We can’t say as much for the quality/speed of the service. As we sat down, all three other tables had already ordered, or were eating. It took an excruciatingly long time for our order to be taken, and then to get our dishes. The waitress asked if we wanted a plate to share the food, but took forever to get it to us. The rice also came last, which makes no sense!
