Wood-fired grills and homemade cuisine in the heart of the Mazarin district.
In the heart of the Mazarin district, this former coaching inn for the king's squires has been transformed into a restaurant with an authentic setting, featuring a French-style ceiling with exposed beams, a stagecoach wheel chandelier and a large, old-fashioned fireplace. You can also take a seat on the patio, which is bathed in light thanks to its glass roof and the old well used to water the horses. The kitchen features wood-fired grills cooked to perfection by the owner Olivier Soudain: a mix of grilled meats with lamb chops, duck breast, veal kidneys and beef surprise. Also on the menu: homemade whole duck foie gras, fresh pasta with scallops. Current specials include scampi fricassee, grilled red mullet fillets and grilled st. Pierre fillets. Bonus: home-made bouillabaisse. The dessert menu is as original as the love nest flambéed with Grand Marnier directly in the dining room, or the lavender crème brûlée. All homemade! A warm welcome and groups welcome.
