Sit down for lunch, tea or brunch in the refined salons or French garden of the Hôtel de Caumont, a privilege, almost a sharing in the romantic history of this 18th-century home of Pauline, Marquise de Caumont. The à la carte menu features fine salads - The Barber of Seville, Othello, The Magic Flute, Orfeo and Carmen - a dish linked to the current exhibition, a dish of the day, risotto, savoury tart and succulent pastries. The sweets cart accompanies snack time: thick, creamy teas and old-fashioned chocolate, also on the brunch menu at weekends. Very Aix, aristocratic, a stone's throw from the Cours Mirabeau.

This was a brilliant find and the tea and cake was excellent.
We chose to sit ouside in the gorgeous garden.
Because of this really positive experience, we returned on Frid 8th September for lunch.
The lunch was every bit as excellent, accompanied by fine wine and superb coffee.
I am disabled and was using a small electric mobility scooter.
Accessibilty (via lifts) to all levels was superb.
