Seasonal cuisine in a bistronomic wine bar
Grenache praises fine wines in harmony with seasonal dishes. Pierre, once a sommelier with Alain Ducasse in Monaco, is at the helm of this bistronomic wine bar, which has quickly won over a discerning clientele. It's an easy climb from the city center to this shady little square near Arts et Métiers. On the plate, the flavors tantalize the taste buds: traditional cuisine using fresh produce from local markets. The wine list features over 200 references, with advice and wine shop prices to boot!

Just loved this restaurant which was previously unknown to us but recommended the day before by the chef/proprietor of another brilliant Aix restaurant les Vielles Canailles where we have dined on numerous occasions.
Beautifully fitted out inside (really cool and elegant), superb service from the very inspirational owner who is a top sommelier and maintains a brilliant wine list.
The food was absolutely sensational throughout and we will most definitely return. Velouté of potiron (pumpkin) & roasted leek starters were beautifully executed & delicious, mains of long cooked beef, octopus with a grain risotto and pan fried bream with creamed potato were also superb. Great desserts, too.
The photos speak for themselves. The wine (a recommendation of a pinot noir from a producer I did not know in Monthelie, Burgundy) was also brilliant. 10/10.

Difficile d'y dîner sans réservation.
Mais nous avons eu le plaisir de trouver une table en cette veille de fête.
Malgré une fermeture imminente pour les vacances, nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement et la carte était complète.
Tout était très bon.
Menu : entrée / plat / dessert = 41€

Un restaurant en cave comme il y en a pas mal sur Aix

Une carte courte (et suffisante !) qui permet de bons plats bien travaillés.
Une carte des vins bien fournie avec les conseils du sommelier pour compléter le tout.
Je n'hésiterai pas à refaire un stop chez vous pour une halte gourmande et agréable.
