It was our first father-daughter trip and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to make wonderful memories. I look forward to coming back.

We enjoyed this lovely place so much! Thanks to your warm hospitality we felt welcomed and relaxed. Such a beautiful place, so close to the city, a hidden paradise. We are looking forward to being back in 2024 for the Aix Festival – and of course staying here.

Un petit séjour inoubliable dans ce coin de paradis ! Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la qualité de l’accueil, nos échanges avec l'hôte et ses recommandations. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

To describe this place in a nutshell: a luxurious bed & breakfast that is centrally located.
To elaborate: Run by a most gracious host, Lilli, you will be hard pressed to leave this haven of tranquility. Everything you need has been noted and thought of; whenever Lilli asked if we needed anything, I really couldn’t think of anything at all.

Here are a few more notes:

• Breakfast is served for an additional but reasonable cost. Everything served is organic, from the bread to the almond butter. It is still very French, with croissants and yogurt, but you have the option to request other items like boiled eggs and whole wheat bread (best to request in advance of your arrival). This worked great for my partner & I, as I am the yogurt & fruit type, and he’s the eggs and toast type.

• Our room, Le Imperiale, was tastefully decorated and well laid out. Everything was easy to use, including the thermostat, lights, and smart TV. There is central air conditioning in the rooms, and it actually works! The shower was glorious, I didn’t want to get out of it. We didn’t get to use the bathtub but it looked very inviting. The bed was very comfortable, we slept very well. No robes, but slippers are provided. I love a good robe, but I managed just fine without.

• Parking is free and secured behind an electronic gate.

• Each room has a small but fully equipped kitchen, including a separate wine fridge, electric cooktop, kettle & Nespresso (ask for a small carafe of milk), and ice in the freezer. Oh and organic olive oil & vinegar, should you need it. There’s even a woven shopping basket for you to take to the local markets.

• The pool is lovely, surrounded by live koi and lotus flowers. Lounge chairs and towels provided.

Upon leaving you’ll need a big hug from Lilli, because she really makes this villa shine and you’ll miss her the most. She is responsive via text message, speaks French & English beautifully, and wants you to enjoy your stay in her home. Don’t think twice about booking this gorgeous villa, this gem will soon be too popular to keep up with demand.

Die Villa Amara zeichnet sich durch ihre zentrale und doch absolut ruhige Lage in Aix aus. Sie ist ein Juwel, eine alte Villa, die sehr geschmackvoll renoviert und alle Annehmlichkeiten in Bezug auf die Ausstattung bietet. Hervorzuheben sind die ausgezeichnete Innenarchitektur, die durch die Liebe zum Detail hervorsticht. Nichts wurde dem Zufall überlassen, alles fügt sich harmonisch zusammen und schafft eine Ruheoase, einen Ort der Entspanntheit.

La villa Amara est un lieu complètement magique, un havre de paix, de luxe et de poésie en plein coeur d’Aix-en-Provence. Les 3 chambres sont absolument splendides, agencées avec un gout exquis et un soin du detail exceptionnels. Le jardin est magnifique , richement arborisé et ombragé, un lieu de fraîcheur et de calme bienfaisant. La piscine est une oeuvre d’art, entouré de bassins d’ornement où batifolent de superbes koi multicolores. Lilli, la maitresse des lieux vous accueille comme de vieux amis, et vous sert un petit déjeuner délicieux dans le jardin. La villa est située à quelques pas de la vieille ville tout en étant tres facile d’accès en voiture. Un coin de paradis!

Absolutely superb. Moments from the heart of Vieux Aix, but so lovely and serene it is difficult to leave. Lilli is the perfect hostess and has thought of everything to make a traveler comfortable. The suites are a miracle of luxury and peace and I cannot recommend this villa highly enough. You will never regret choosing Villa Amara for a stay in Aix-en-Provence.

Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour. La propriétaire était aux petits soins, à l’écoute et toujours disponible. La villa est magnifique, les suites sont spacieuses, très bien décorées. La literie et le linge de lit sont très confortables. Et que dire de la piscine : un havre de paix.

La Villa Amara est un lieu exceptionnel, havre de verdure et de paix à quelques minutes à pied du centre ville. Idéale pour un week-end en amoureux ! La maison a un charme fou, la suite est très confortable et à la décoration soignée. La piscine était la bienvenue par ces grosses chaleurs... Un excellent accueil de la part notre hôtesse, qui aime et connaît très bien sa ville.

Notre séjour à Villa Amara s'est remarquablement bien passé. De la qualité d'accueil de nos hôtes, jusqu'à la qualité de la suite.
Nous avons séjourné dans la suite Impériale ! La délicatesse de l'agencement et de la décoration est fabuleuse.
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'indépendance dont nous jouissions tout au long de notre séjour.
La terrasse privative et l'accès facile à la piscine sont très appréciables.
La salle de bain est la pièce maîtresse de cette superbe suite.

Nous recommandons fortement Villa Amara !

Pour ceux qui recherchent une expérience à part à tous les points de vue : villa et piscine magnifiques, suites immenses et restaurées avec beaucoup de goût et de qualité, où règnent calme et sérénité rarement égalés. Le hôtes rehaussent encore le niveau de prestation par une gentillesse et une disponibilité extraordinaires dans la plus grande discrétion. Un service haut de gamme, rendant le séjour en plein centre d'Aix inoubliable.

We found an absolute gem. Have stayed all over Europe in 5* locations and this is arguably the best place we have stayed. Luckily came across it as it had only just opened, took the risk and it certainly paid off. Will most definitely be returning! The suites are finished to an extremely high standard, location to the centre is 300 yards and you have the option to relax around the Villa (which we did) for the whole day as you're totally self sufficient with your kitchenette area. Cant wait to return, great hosts, great location, great Villa!

Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob ich überhaupt etwas über die Villa Amara schreiben sollte – sie ist ein schönes kleines Juwel welches man am liebsten ganz für sich behalten würde. Trotzdem: Wir haben wirklich schöne, sorgenfreie Tage in Aix verbracht und uns in der Villa Amara wie zuhause gefühlt. Das Haus ist perfekt gelegen, wunderschön ausgestattet und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Lilli und Blake sind warmherzige, perfekte Gastgeber.

Villa Amara is a lovely boutique hotel right in the middle of Aix. We were able to attend festival events and discover the city on foot. Literally steps away from the open market we enjoyed shopping for fresh, healthy, French cuisine. History and culture were on display all around us. Exceptional pool and garden.. Beautifully decorated as well. Highly recommended.

Un séjour très agréable. La villa est en centre-ville ce qui est pratique pour visiter Aix en Provence, mais elle est pourtant au calme. Le jardin est reposant et la piscine chauffée est une belle surprise.
Les chambres également sont grandes et décorées avec soin. Bon accueil!

un merveilleux séjour passé à Villa Amara fin juin dans le cadre d'un déplacement professionnel. Accueil parfait des hôtes, la suite La Secrète était agencée avec soin et élégance. Stationnement privatif, possibilité d'accès à la piscine facile, connexion wifi excellente, espace de travail et de vie spacieux, cuisine permettant d'être en totale autonomie. Vraiment adapté aux voyages d'affaires. Merci pour tout.
