The Association Les Amis des Arts presents the work of painters of the Country of Aix in this gallery of the Cours Mirabeau. Originality: the exposed painters are part of the association with about sixty members. The artist is present during the days to three weeks of exposure, allowing visitors to better understand the works. They are sometimes abstract and sometimes figurative - Provençal landscapes, portraits, dead habits… There are also temporary exhibitions organized by other galleries. The Friends of the Arts date back to yesterday, since this association was founded in 1894 by the aix painter Edouard Ducros (1856-1936), a friend of Cézanne, who was one of the first exhibited artists.
