Since 2004, Rencontres du 9e Art has become a major annual event, making Aix a little sister to Angoulême. This festival of comics and related arts is organized in partnership with Aix bookshops, the city and local authorities. An unconventional festival that delights fans of comics, drawings, cartoons and graphic arts. A total of 36,000 visitors came in 2024 for the twentieth anniversary of the festival. Held in the gallery space of the Lieu 9 tourist office.
