As every year, the Académie du Tambourin invites you, through several concerts, to discover one of the key instruments of the Provençal tradition which is very present in Aix through its annual events. The tambourine looks like a long drum and the musician plays it at the same time as the galoubet (a small flute) which he holds only in one hand. Don't lack dexterity! The air often reminds us of Napoleonic marches. The academy offers concerts all year round: at Christmas, in October on the occasion of Sainte-Thérèse or at the beginning of July. A Provençal affairs department at the town hall can also inform you about all these activities that smell good in Provence.
