JOURNÉES DU PATRIMOINE
Each year, National Heritage Days, give you the opportunity to discover sites that are usually closed to the public or to know more about those already thought to be familiar… Special hotels in the city centre, castles, religious buildings and museums open free of charge to the public. We appreciate the monuments classified, but also the unknown heritage, urban, rural, archaeological (visit of the town d'Entremont), artistic, literary. In Aix, you visit the Cézanne workshop and the Vasarely Foundation, the Grand Theatre of Provence and the site of Grand Saint-Jean, in Cabriès, the museum Mélik, in Châteauneuf-le-Rouge, the Arteum Museum… In Aix, the Miles camp, in Gréasque the Mine Museum. Tour-speakers commented on some visits. A heritage forum, Place de l'Bishopric, allows to meet artisans of heritage, binders, saddlers, cabinetmakers, associations, scientists… Many events are organised during these two days in Aix, Rognes, Roque-d'Antheron, Peyrolles… For the programme of these days, visit the tourist office which publishes a booklet on this occasion.
