Founded in 1944, the Cantabile Choir is composed of a hundred choristers, all amateurs and volunteers, some loyal for years and newcomers to each season. Cantabile sang great works with orchestra on numerous occasions: Mozart's Requiem, Te Deum of the Bands Bands, Fauré Requiem, Bernstein's West Side Story and "Gershwin Portrait", the Small Solemn Mass of Rossini… The Cœur Heart is placed under the baton of Carlos Gómez-Orellana. The Marseille chamber orchestra accompanies it. Recruitment takes place in September. In 2016, Cantabile worked Bach with La Passion according to Saint John.
