LA LYRE AIXOISE
The origin of this respectable Lyre goes back to 1955. At the time it was a question of providing the city with a harmony to represent Aix in fanfare and this in place of the even older Aix Trumpet. Today the Lyre brings together about forty musicians who give several concerts in Aix every year, notably during the "C'est Sud ou encore" event in the region, in Martigues. The wind band of the Lyre aixoise is made up of wind instruments and percussion and meets every Thursday evening for rehearsals at the Darius Milhaud conservatory (Salle Paray). Everything is specified in their new website.
