L'Amicale Vélo Club is one of France's elite amateur cycling clubs. It was founded in 1925. Today it is one of the most important clubs in the south of France, with over a hundred members. It has 6 teams, including one in the national 1 division. Wednesday afternoons are also devoted to introducing youngsters to the joys of cycling. The AVCA also offers training courses for experienced riders, a good way to get a real idea of your level. The many events it organizes are very popular: the famous Ronde d'Aix, but also the Grand Prix du Pays d'Aix, the Grand Prix de la Sainte-Victoire, the Tour PACA, the Sipec Trophy, the Provençale Sainte-Victoire..
