With 7 500 books in German, the Library of the Franco-German centre de Provence - CFAP - will delight germanophiles. From Achterbush to Zweig, the main authors are represented and different disciplines: German culture, history and politics… These books were collected when the Goethe Institute closed in 1998. Part of the documentary background, due to lack of space, was then transferred to the Cité du Livre. This 13 000-pound file can be viewed on the Internet and removed at the Méjanes on presentation of the membership card. In the centre you can also consult a German press magazine, German-German dictionaries, language works, educational materials, grammar materials and basic works for German learning. This library also has a library with films, dvds, video documentaries, CD-roms, CD roms and games in German. Library and library libraries are open to learners and teachers. The Franco-German centre of Provence regularly offers cultural events (see programme on the site): conferences, concerts, cinema club, conference circle and, of course, German courses.
