L’EFFORT ARTISTIQUE
This association was founded by Jean Richard in 1941 to promote Provençal culture through the theatre. In 1999, his son, Jean-Pascal, succeeded him in the chair of this artistic effort, which continued his journey with the same passion. Today, 80 members travel through the country of Aix to give performances of bilingual French-speaking theatre. Comedies and vaudevilles, their repertoire, and the Pastoral Maurel, a Provencal comic opera, given in December and January in Aix and the country of Aix.
