CENTRE DES ECRIVAINS DU SUD
Founded in 2000, at the Paul Cézanne University of Aix, by Paule Constant, the Centre des writers du sud Jean-Giono aims to promote literature, literature and literature from the South. The Centre that has just left Gaston-de-Saporta Street to join Cours Gambetta, organizes monthly interviews and annual days that bring together French and Francophone authors illustrating the South as an aesthetic concept, as defined by Jean Giono, that of ancient cultures and primitive mythologies. The Interviews take place every month during the academic year, around two écrivians and one theme, the «Days» take place once a year in the spring. These literary appointments mark the year and the works of the invited authors are included in the student programme of IEFEE, Institute for French Studies for Foreign students, following the course of Translation and French Literature.
