SAINT-JEAN-DE-MALTE CHURCH
Provence's first Gothic church, featuring contemporary stained glass and a large organ by Kern.
Located just around the corner from the Musée Granet, the Church of Saint-Jean-de-Malte, built outside the walls in the 13th century by the Hospitallers of Saint-Jean-de-Jérusalem, is Provence's first Gothic church. Originally the mausoleum of the Counts of Provence - Raimond-Bérenger IV - it now boasts magnificent stained glass windows and a modern Kern organ. In 2018, the church regained its carillon, with three new bells installed in the restored campanile.
