THE HOT WATER FOUNTAIN
The thermal water fountain was built by the architect Fossé in 1666. It stands in the middle of the Cours Mirabeau.
More commonly known as the moss fountain. Built by architect Jacques Fossé in 1666, the mossy fountain is one of the 3 fountains on the Cours Mirabeau and is located in the middle of the Cours Mirabeau. Its special feature is the hot water from the Bagniers thermal spring. The green moss has colonized this building to such an extent that the stone is no longer visible, just the base. However, this thermal water is not fit for drinking. The only regret is that, over the years, the moss has become less and less present and is tending to turn brown. A symbol of Aix!
