In the heart of Aix, this private mansion transformed into an art center presents superb exhibitions, with a restaurant and tearoom on site

In the heart of the Mazarin district, the Hôtel particulier Caumont, once home to Aix-en-Provence's music conservatory, has been transformed into a sumptuous showcase for prestigious exhibitions. For the inauguration in 2015, the Italian artist Canaletto was given pride of place. One exhibition followed another: Botero, Nicolas de Staël, Sorolla, Zao Wou-Ki, Raoul Dufy, Yves Klein, Mucha, Pierre Bonnard... There are also shows and lectures. Stroll through the French gardens, sit down to lunch or afternoon tea in the 18th-century salons.

Visite du centre Caumont pour l'expo Sisley. Très beau lieu et très agréable pour une expo. Seul petit point négatif : entrée assez chère. Petit plus : ils acceptent les chèques vacances.

Ancien Conservatoire de musique, cet hôtel particulier a été rénové et des expositions d'art y sont désormais présentées. L'accès à ces expositions est un peu cher mais mérite d'être fait au moins une fois.
Il est également possible de se poser un instant dans la partie restaurant, somptueuse, avec un jardin calme et silencieux, espace hors du temps en plein centre-ville. Des concerts avec entrée gratuite y sont proposés les vendredis soir d'été.

Visite de l'Hotel de Chaumont à l'occasion de l'exposition sur Marilyne Monroe .... quel décalage !!!
La restauration du site est magnifique et le jardin est très agréable.
Très bon moment passé en ce lieu.
Salon de thé compris !!!
