LA CORBEILLE D’ORIENT
Created over thirty years ago by Gérard Cherkerdjian, La Corbeille d'Orient has been successfully taken over by his son Pierre! It's as good here as in a Maghreb souk! Colorful, fragrant, tempting and delightful, with bags, baskets and baskets overflowing with spices, seeds, semolina... But also bulk sales of rice, quinoa, curry, cumin, cashews, almonds and chickpeas. You'll also find Cretan olive oil, green and fruity, extra quality but less expensive than locally produced oil. It's on special offer in February when the new harvest arrives. You can also buy fresh feta, lemongrass or coffee of the "Moka" variety. The company has even created its own brand of tea: "Infinitytea" (72 varieties) with excellent value for money to satisfy its customers. What a lovely way to travel through exotic cuisine and flavours. An invaluable address for finding the right ingredients to concoct a tajine, couscous, pastilla or gazelle horns. The shop also offers powdered colorants (for macaroons, for example) and natural flavors, which are very much in vogue in today's culinary world. At the end of November, in anticipation of the festive season, the house receives an influx of foie gras, fresh truffles and even caviar. Of course, you'll always receive a warm welcome and the warmest of smiles.
