MAISON MARCHI
Nadège Marchi, the youngest confiturière in the Bouches-du-Rhône region, is racking up the awards: her jams won the Grand Prix de l'Ordre Culinaire International in 2021, and she swept all the medals at the last Salon de l'Agriculture. She works with seasonal fruit, around twenty varieties, using fruit from nearby orchards (apart from pineapple). These jams are nectars, with no added pectin or glucose syrup, just fruit and 450g of sugar per kilo, cooked in a cauldron. We've already heard of her boutique lab in Le Rove, and now she'll be delighting Aix-en-Provence customers with her home-made jams, original recipes and surprising flavors.
