LE COMPTOIR D'ITALIE
Recipes made with fresh products in a classic Arles atmosphere.
Comptoir d'Italie is like a small corner of the peninsula where even the cooks, including the pizzaiolo, come from the other side of the Alps. This guarantees the know-how of the dishes offered, the classics of La Botte: the antipasti, of course, the pizzas (to be tested absolutely: Calzone Bianco composed of mozzarella, crème fraîche, scarmoza, parmesan and gorgonzola), of course, and the pasta to close the triptych. Everything is prepared on the spot, with fresh products and in an atmosphere that, at the time of the shooting, can sometimes turn to the joyful mess! An additional latinity feature? On the plate anyway, it feels like being transported to Piazza Navona in Rome. Ingredients such as bresaola (charcuterie), parma ham, capers, rocket and "true" mozzarella (with buffalo milk), an Italian wine list and the suggestion of a glass of limoncello at the time of the liqueur prolong the illusion of dolce vita. On the spot or to take away!
