PHARE
The Phare Festival is an annual event held at the Théâtre Antique in Arles, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Created in 2015, it showcases never-before-seen short films by young directors from around the world, in fiction, animation and documentary categories. The festival offers a varied and festive program, with opening evenings, ciné-causeries, ciné-dances and lectures on the history of cinema. One day is dedicated to a tribute to Agnès Varda, with a screening of her short films. The closing evening features the festival's three award-winning films, as well as a ciné-concert revisiting Henri-Georges Clouzot's L'Enfer. The Phare Festival is a must for lovers of short films and cinema in general.
