COLLÉGIALE NOTRE-DAME-LA-MAJOR
Romanesque hilltop church overlooking Arles, renovated with Gothic bell tower, nave, chapels and choir.
Perched atop the hill that supports the town, it's Arles' favorite church. Its Romanesque style dates back to the 12th century and has been constantly modified over the centuries. Not to be missed: the typically Provencal Christmas mass with its pastrage, attended by the Queen of Arles and her bridesmaids, and the festival of the gardians on May1, when they come to celebrate their patron saint, St. George, and have their horses blessed. Right next to the church, a magnificent viewpoint.

En revanche il y a une jolie vue sur les toits de tuile de la ville depuis la terrasse voisine.
