CHAPELLE DES TRINITAIRES
Chapel founded under the vocation of the Trinity and Saint Roch, the Trinitarians redeemed the captives brought by the Barbarians.
We could walk by without noticing her. And yet here you have an intoxicating view of this sumptuous church in the heart of the city. In the 13th century, the Trinitarians set up their convent between the old town and the Méjan, next to the Saint-Esprit-du-Bourg hospital with a church and a cemetery. The church was rebuilt in 1630 under the name of the Trinity and Saint-Roch. The mission of the Trinitarians was to redeem the captives brought into slavery by the Barbarians. They also took care of the teaching of the children.
