ESPACE VAN GOGH
This building, located just off the Boulevard des Lices, houses the city's media library and university branch.
Located just off the Boulevard des Lices, this building is the former Hôtel-Dieu of the city. Built in the 16th and 17th centuries, the establishment functioned until the 1970s. But the place owes its fame above all to the guest it welcomed at the end of the 19th century: Vincent Van Gogh. During his stay, due to the famous episode of the severed ear, the Dutch painter painted on several canvases the garden located in the heart of the building. Today, the building houses the media library and the university branch of the city.
