MUSEON ARLATEN
A museum offering a panoramic view of Provence on the Rhône, from the late century to the present day, to be discovered in Arles.
Created on the initiative of the poet Frédéric Mistral in the former Jesuit College, this museum offers a panorama of Rhône-Alpes Provence, from the late 18th century to the present day. Some 300,000 everyday objects and documents are on display in 30 rooms. Costumes, books, work tools, objects of worship or superstition punctuate a most moving visit to this place of popular memory. Its recent restoration has restored the site to its former splendor, and the museography has been rejuvenated, much to our delight. A real gem!
