The church of Notre-Dame-des-Grâces is a very pretty church that stands proudly in the heart of the historic village of Barbentane. Probably built on the remains of a Roman temple, it has undergone numerous alterations since the 12th century. It was notably enlarged in 1324, with the addition of two bays and an apse, typical of the so-called "southern" Gothic style. It is a pleasant refuge after having strolled in the streets of the village. The interior is a bit dark, but you feel really good inside. A small visit is necessary for the amateurs of old stones.
