HOTEL DE VILLE
A beautiful old mansion topped by a wrought-iron belfry and featuring a statue of the Virgin Mary on its façade.
The Barbentane town hall welcomes you in a beautiful old private mansion, one of the first buildings built outside the ramparts of the medieval city: the mansion of the barons of Chabert. Built in 1600, this house, in the Louis XIII style, has a statue of the Virgin Mary on its facade, and is topped by a wrought iron belfry. Legend has it that Louis XIV stayed there one night when he was a child. The municipality settled there in 1888, but this administrative presence does not prevent from admiring the beauty of the place, intact.
