GARDENS OF ALBERTAS
Created around 1640, these gardens combine the Italian Renaissance tradition with the spirit of the French garden.
Classified as a historic monument, the Jardins d'Albertas, created around 1640, combine the Italian Renaissance tradition with the spirit of the French garden developed by Le Nôtre. Still owned by the Albertas family, they have been preserved exactly as they were three centuries ago. Organized like a theater, with a succession of four terraces, decorated with statues, basins and pruned trees. The 17-spout basin is a masterpiece of fountain art. The next edition of the Journées des Plantes will take place on May 23, 24 and 25, 2025. Admission fees will help with upkeep!
