CHAPELLE SAINT-MARCELLIN
Romanesque chapel of the XIIth century, place of procession during which each one brings a bottle of wine, the blessed wine is preserved
A strange ceremony takes place every year on June1st in this Romanesque chapel from the second half of the 12th century, whose southern portal is worth a visit. The bells are rung, a signal for the men (and only them) to start a procession behind the village priest to go to the building, each bringing a bottle of wine. At the end of a mass, the bottles are opened and the wine blessed. Only one glass is consumed, the rest, which is said to have therapeutic virtues, is carefully kept for the rest of the year.
