MEDITERRANEAN MUSEUM ATP
Museum in Cassis, ideal for lovers of fine Provencal paintings and underwater archaeological digs
The main museum of the city created in 1910 by a Marseille painter in love with Cassis, Marius Guindon. He donated his works and thus started the collections of the Museum of Popular Art and Traditions. Installed in a former presbytery (early 17th century), the museum will appeal to lovers of beautiful paintings of the Provencal school but also archaeological excavations underwater. Every year, the museum participates in national events such as the "Journée des métiers", the "Journée de l'archéologie", and the European Heritage Days.
