L'Eouvé means holm oak in Provençal. Here we find Karen Favre and Stéphane Almela, the couple who made the Ventabren restaurant famous. Karen's cuisine is as generous, creative and tasty as ever, and sauce-lovers will appreciate her well-spiced, creamy dishes. The menu changes regularly, but here's the suggestion of the day when we visited: mozzarella-stuffed veal dumplings from Aveyron served with creamy polenta, while the tartar trio is a perennial favorite. For dessert, avocado cream with lime and mango, or brioche French toast with salted butter caramel. The wines are local and French.
