This church is founded on the remains of an ancient castle
The donation of the land by the Abbot of Montmajour allowed the construction of the church of Fontvieille, provisionally completed in 1695. Its façade was rebuilt in 1765, and its clock tower in 1866, which explains the difference in styles observed. Exterior modifications were even made during the 19th century. The church is based on the remains of a former castle. After the Revolution, it was used as a communal hall and was consecrated again at the end of the 19th century.
